HTS Bioinf - Issue management

At the time of writing, both Jira and Gitlab is used for issue-tracking, but a complete transition to Gitlab is in the making. In Jira, larger projects are described in "epic" issue types. If it is relevant to structure the work, "User stories" are created that describe more high-level functional/business requirements, and "sub-tasks" are made for implementing the user stories.

In Gitlab, issues are created in the project which is primarily affected by the change. If the work does not naturally belong to a specific repository, issues can be made in the general "chores" project. Note that epics are created on the group level, and can therefore include issues from multiple projects. See the ELLA wiki for how issues are created and labeled in Gitlab. Issue labels are usually defined at the group level.
