Admin procedures
Add a new PGT-lab user
- Install Microsoft Remote Desktop on your computer if you don't already have it.
- Start Microsoft Remote Desktop.
- Connect to
torus.nscamg.local
:- Use your Active Directory (AD) account to log in.
- If a certificate warning appears, accept it.
- Log in to
dc1.nscamg.local
:- Once connected to
torus.nscamg.local
, use Remote Desktop to log in todc1.nscamg.local
.
- Once connected to
- Open Server Manager:
- The "Server Manager" will either open automatically after logging in

, or you can find it in the Start menu.

- Access Active Directory Users and Computers:
- In the "Server Manager," go to the Tools menu and select Active Directory Users and Computers to get started.
- Go to

, select New -> User. Enter first and last name, and username. On the next page enter password. If the user is there, they can set the password. - Double-click the created user, Go to "Member Of" tab, click "Add", add

PGT Data Storage
NextSeq data for PGT is stored at /boston/runScratch/PGT
folder. The bioinformaticians
(ous-diag-bioinf
group members) and users in the PGT-lab
group have access to this folder.
